Your real-life companion might not be able to battle Gym Leaders or help complete your Pokédex, but they can finally look the part.
Pokémon Center has launched Pokémon Playful Partners, its first-ever dedicated collection of official Pokémon pet accessories, bringing everything from beds and feeding accessories to collars, harnesses, blankets and toys to Pokémon-loving pet owners.
The collection launched on 11 June 2026 and features original illustrations from Pokémon designer and graphic artist James Turner, with Pokémon including Pikachu, Snorlax, Magikarp, Growlithe, Yamper, Fidough, Skitty, Munchlax and more appearing throughout the range.
Pokémon's newest partners aren't kept inside Poké Balls
The relationship between a Trainer and their Pokémon has always been at the heart of the franchise, so extending that idea to the animals we actually share our homes with feels surprisingly natural.
What makes Playful Partners particularly interesting is that Pokémon Center hasn't simply put Pikachu logos onto generic pet accessories. The collection has been developed as a range in its own right, with dedicated artwork, Pokémon chosen to suit individual products and some genuinely fun ideas.
There are practical products for feeding and walking alongside pieces that lean much further into the fun side of Pokémon merchandising — and a few instantly stand out.
Snorlax might have finally found the perfect job
Of all the Pokémon that could become a pet bed, Snorlax was surely inevitable.
The Snorlax Pokémon Playful Partners Pet Bed turns the Sleeping Pokémon into an actual place for your own companion to curl up.
It's exactly the sort of product that manages to appeal to both Pokémon collectors and pet owners without feeling like a novelty for novelty's sake.

Snorlax isn't the only Pokémon helping pets get some sleep.
The Jigglypuff Pokémon Playful Partners Pet Cave creates a more enclosed sleeping space for cats and smaller pets, incorporating Jigglypuff directly into the design rather than simply printing the Pokémon onto a standard bed.
It's a good example of why the collection works. The Pokémon isn't just branding added afterwards; the character itself is part of the idea.
Alongside Jigglypuff and Snorlax, Pokémon Center has also released more traditional pet beds and blankets featuring Pokémon from across the wider Playful Partners artwork.

Magikarp has found a considerably more productive use for Splash
Possibly the best joke in the entire collection belongs to Magikarp.
The Magikarp Pokémon Playful Partners Fishing Rod Cat Toy puts the Fish Pokémon at the end of a fishing-rod-style cat toy, allowing Magikarp to fly through the air while your cat attempts to catch it.
Magikarp vs. cat
Pokémon's own launch announcement points to Magikarp's famous Splash attack, and it's difficult to imagine a Pokémon that fits the concept better.
It's also good to see Pokémon Center include products specifically designed around cats rather than treating “pet accessories” as another name for dog accessories.

Not everything in Playful Partners is designed purely to make Pokémon fans smile. A sizeable part of the collection consists of practical everyday pet products.
Pokémon Center's Playful Partners Double Pet Bowls pair removable bowls with a Pokémon-themed base, while matching silicone mats are designed to sit underneath food and water bowls and help contain the inevitable mess.
The wider feeding range also includes products such as silicone feeding accessories and a Munchlax ceramic treat jar — because if any Pokémon should be put in charge of snacks, Munchlax seems like the obvious choice.

Dogs get the biggest wardrobe
Dog owners have even more to choose from.
Pokémon Center has released collars, harnesses and leashes in multiple colours and sizes, making it possible to put together a matching Playful Partners set for everyday walks.
The collection features Pokémon including Growlithe, Yamper and Fidough, which feel particularly appropriate for a range aimed at dogs.
Rather than trying to list every size and design here, we'd recommend checking Pokémon Center directly, as individual colours and sizes may move in and out of stock.

Browse Pokémon Center UKThe collection is more thoughtful than we expected
Pokémon merchandise covers almost every imaginable category at this point, which means it would have been very easy for a pet range to feel like little more than another licensing exercise.
Playful Partners feels more considered than that.
James Turner's illustrations give the wider collection its own identity, while products such as the Snorlax bed, Jigglypuff cave and Magikarp fishing rod toy actually use the personalities of the Pokémon as part of the product concept.
Even some of the less unusual pieces make sensible character choices. Fidough appears around feeding products, Munchlax guards the treats, and Pokémon such as Growlithe and Yamper feel right at home across accessories designed for dogs.
120HP verdict: the Magikarp toy may be our favourite idea, Jigglypuff gets one of the cutest designs and Snorlax becoming a pet bed feels so obvious that we're surprised it took this long.
Whether our pets would appreciate any of that is another question. We definitely would.
